Two cool ideas!

Posted by MotorOil09 - 5 days ago

Hello guys, yesterday I came up with two cool ideas I’d like to try out. I think I might use idea number one for a quick video.

Idea #1

I don’t want to show my real face in front of a camera but masks are uncomfortable and overlaying individual drawings on 30 frame per second video is tedious and takes up too much free time. So, I came up with an idea to record myself and only keep frames of key poses with a few in-betweens. I then stitch the frames together to match with the video and dub audio over in Movie Maker (the camera microphone sucks)

Idea #2

I want to show clips of the real world through a screen on an animation but the clips don’t move in sync with the animation. I then came up with the idea to:

  1. Take the video I want to use.
  2. Make the video the frames per second I’m animating at.
  3. Split it into individual frames.
  4. Stitch together frames at 29.97 frames per second (color NTSC video frame rate because I live in the U.S.)
  5. Record the video to tape.
  6. Cut a hole in the paper to fit the TV image.
  7. Place the paper in between two pieces of glass to hold it flat.
  8. Setup a camera to take pictures of the the paper I’m using to animate.
  9. position the TV so that the image shows through the hole while being in focus.
  10. Use that feature on the VCR that goes through individual frames.

I’m sorry if the instructions on this one aren’t clear, I was writing this very quickly during class.
